JAEM — in My Heart (Part 4)
People aren’t afraid to say “I love you.”
They’re afraid of the answer.
Afraid it won’t be returned. Afraid it will change everything. Afraid of rejection.
But I’m not afraid to say I love you.
And I’m not afraid of the answer either.
Because the answer has always been clear.
You’re an idol. I’m a fan.
You live in Korea. I live in Indonesia.
You stand on stages under lights that reach thousands. I sit behind a screen in a quiet room.
Your world is wide. Loud. Famous.
Mine is small. Ordinary. Unseen.
There is a distance between us that love alone cannot cross.
And that’s okay.
I don’t love you expecting something back. I don’t love you hoping the universe will twist itself for me.
I love you knowing exactly where we stand.
Parallel.
Close enough for me to see you. Far enough to never reach.
Some people would call that impossible.
Maybe it is.
But impossible doesn’t always mean meaningless.
Because even if we will never share the same room, never exchange real words, never exist in the same story,
you were still part of mine.
And I can say I love you without trembling.
Not because I’m brave. But because I understand.
Some loves are meant to be lived quietly. Without expectation. Without demand.
Just felt.
And maybe that’s enough.
