Last night of league action

It’s the last night of block matches on December 6. After A Block’s finals are settled Thursday, Kagoshima will see the teams of B Block fight for the top spot.

Main Event: Jado & Hiroshi Tanahashi (2–4) vs HOUSE OF TORTURE (EVIL & Ren Narita) (4–2)

HOUSE OF TORTURE must win

Hiroshi Tanahashi and Jado are mathematically eliminated

The main event took an unexpected twist following the events of the previous night, where HENARE sustained an injury during his match with LIJ. Suddenly back in contention, HOUSE OF TORTURE now has a renewed chance at redemption. Initially eliminated from the tournament after a clever ploy by Hiromu Takahashi, the faction is looking to turn the tables.

Burned by Hiromu’s antics on Wednesday night, a furious EVIL enters the match with two clear objectives: securing the crucial two points needed to tie at the top and focusing on his Wrestle Kingdom plans, which include his sinister goal of ending Hiroshi Tanahashi’s career a year ahead of the Ace’s planned retirement on January 4, 2026.

Tanahashi meanwhile has some revenge of his own to gun for, and the growing desire to dispense of H.O.T once and for all.

6th Match: Boltin Oleg & Toru Yano (4–2) vs TMDK (Shane Haste & Mikey Nicholls) (3–3)

Boltin and Yano advance with a win and a HOUSE OF TORTURE loss.

TMDK are mathematically eliminated

Slim odds of making the finals improved significantly for Boltin Oleg and Toru Yano after United Empire was forced to withdraw from the tournament. For their opponents, Shane Haste and Mikey Nicholls, this tournament hasn’t gone as planned. They had hoped to use the World Tag League as a springboard back into the tag title picture in time for the Tokyo Dome. However, they won’t be content with Yano and Boltin advancing at their expense. A win tonight would not only block their opponents’ progress but also provide some consolation with a positive win-loss record for the tour.

5th Match: TAKATaichi (TAKA Michinoku & Taichi) (1–5) vs Natural Classics (Tome & Stevie Filip) (1–5)

Both teams are mathematically eliminated

After a highly impressive start against IWGP Tag Team Champions Great-O-Khan and HENARE, TAKA Michinoku and Taichi had a disappointing fall, losing every single one of their matches since. A similar fate befell Tome and Stevie Filip, who got their first and only points on the board on their first night of competition against Jado and Hiroshi Tanahashi. Tonight a chance to end strong at least, and build to the future, one that could involve the KOPW 2024 title for Taichi.

4th Match: Shota Umino, Tomoaki Honma & Tiger Mask vs TMDK (Zack Sabre Jr., Ryohei Oiwa & Kosei Fujita)

With their respective World Tag Leagues over, it’s time for Shota Umino and Zack Sabre Jr to get locked in to the Wrestle Kingdom 19 main event. After sustaining an injury to his ankle earlier int he tour, Umino will be attempting to hide any potential signs of weakness against the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion, while Ryohei Oiwa and Kosei Fujita will be setting the table for their own title fights on January 4.

3rd Match: Los Ingobernables De Japon (Yota Tsuji, Shingo Takagi & BUSHI) vs United Empire (Jeff Cobb, Great-O-Khan & Jakob Austin Young)

After a hard-fought clash earlier in the league that saw Shingo Takagi and Yota Tsuji emerge victorious, United Empire is out for revenge tonight, as well as having their minds on the injured Callum Newman and HENARE. Will the faction succeed in delivering payback for their fallen teammate?

2nd Match: Ryusuke Taguchi, Alex Zayne, YOSHI-HASHI & Hirooki Goto vs BULLET CLUB (Chase Owens, KENTA, SANADA & Gabe Kidd)

Eight man tag team action will see a rematch from Thursday’s block decider when the War Dogs face Bishamon, while Chase Owens and KENTA reunite with Funky Sauce. KENTA and Owens were the recipient of a violent beating at the hands of Kidd and SANADA early in the tour in Yokohama; will the BULLET CLUB side be able to co-operate tonight?

1st Match: Los Ingobernables De Japon (Tetsuya Naito & Hiromu Takahashi) vs Shoma Kato and Katsuya Murashima

After HENARE suffered an injury the night before, United Empire needed to forfeit their match. Their opposing team, LIJ’s Tetsuya Naito and Hiromu Takahashi, currently leading B Block with 10 points, will instead focus on keeping their skills sharp in the first match of the evening. They face off against the two young lions, Shoma Kato and Katsuya Murashima. Will it be an easy night for the experienced duo, or will the underdogs surprise their senpai?
