The perils hidden deep within your gaze, Are born from clouds that marked the empty sky The silence dwells amid the winding maze Where you have gone and left my spirit dry

These tangled wires of agony and pain Dissolve as eyes reflect a heated rage In your deep eyes, the solace I regain To speak the secrets kept within the cage

My vision finds an isle of sordid charm. That dispossess the soul of every fear. Disarm without a shield or thought of harm. Though rising tides imperil what is dear

You are a dream; don’t let me sleep at night. You are a vision. I shall be your knight.

This is the first sonnet that I have written in April. A sonnet is a classical poetic form; it was popularized by William Shakespeare. It consists of 14 lines, which are arranged in three quatrains and a concluding couplet. The three quatrains develop the theme and movement of the poem Then comes the volta, a turn in the poem that often shifts its meaning or direction, and finally, a concluding couplet. Every quatrain follows a rhyming scheme like ABAB, then CDCD, then EFEF, and finally the couplet with the rhyming scheme GG. Each line is written in iambic pentameter. which means 10 syllables with an unstressed and stressed rhythmic pattern.

I have already begun what I have promised to my readers, and this is for The HUB Publication, the publication that stood firmly by my side when others removed me without hearing my side of the story. HUB is my space; it is my publication. This is my 101st post, which is a magical number
