A Student Pressured Texas A&M to Fire Her Professor, Now the Professor is Suing

Btw, the professor was accused of teaching “gender ideology”.

Ok, so you might remember some kid recording a confrontation with their professor, Prof. Melissa McCoul, for teaching “transgenderism” in class.

The kid then recorded her attempt to pressure the president of Texas A&M to fire Prof. McCoul. When that didn’t go her way, she went to state Representative Brian Harrison, who then posted all of this to Twitter which led to the professor being fired.

This whole episode led to some rule changes at Texas A&M, which led to an investigation of Prof. McCoul’s firing. The investigation exonerated McCoul, even under the new rules, but the university system refused to rehire her.

So now Prof. McCoul is suing Texas A&M, asking for back pay and her job back.

She has every right to.

Recently a trans grad student was fired from the University of Oklahoma after flunking a student for a transphobic essay that didn’t even answer the assignment prompt and “used personal ideology over evidence in a scientific class.”

The University of Arkansas recently withdrew an offer to Professor Emily Suski to be the dean of their law school because she signed onto an amicus brief in support of trans inclusion in sports.

Professor McCoul is fighting Texas A&M to stop shit like this.

We’ve seen over and over now that these jerks back down when people tell them to stop and they’ll back down here too. Texas A&M already admitted she was in the right, that alone should imply she could win.

And even if she doesn’t, every little attempt helps, even if they aren’t initially successful.

The GOP keep preaching to us about the “transgender orthodoxy” supposedly overtaking our institutions but then Trump’s ass is hounding dozens of universities, pressuring them to stop any trans care they provide to minors and stop any pro-trans policies they may have.

The GOP is the one doing that, and they’ve been doing it for decades now.

They crusaded against gay rights and fought hard to keep gay people out of the public eye. They’ve been fighting hard to suppress real lessons in Black history. They got rid of Roe and a good chunk of women’s independence in the process.

The list just keeps going on.

Some people like to ignore this or that piece of the fight but it all matters.
