Nothing beats the comfort of being with people who want to be your friends not because of what you have, but because of who you are. It’s something truly wonderful and lovely to know — that they choose to be with you simply because you vibe and click. You find your people without even searching, because they just come along, and suddenly you’re all bonded as if you’ve known each other forever. It’s a connection that doesn’t break easily, because you can see they’re being their true selves without pretending in front of you.

My friends from senior high school were the best circle I’ve ever had. It felt like we weren’t just friends, but family — sisters and brothers who always had each other’s backs. They were the ones I could share my struggles with, knowing they would never invalidate my feelings. Despite the busy days and personal lives, we all have now, I’m grateful that we’re still friends and that the bond hasn’t changed. The way we treated each other back then still reflects how we care for one another today.

We’re all chasing our dreams, studying different programs in different colleges, and I’m rooting for everyone’s success in the near future. Now that we’re third-year students, I feel excited for each of their endeavors because I know how hard they’ve worked. I know their achievements will make them proud, and their families too. I miss them deeply, and I hope that whatever they’re doing, they’re doing it with a happy heart.

When the time comes that we’re all successful, I hope we never forget each other and the memories we made — even if it was just for a short period of time. I wish them well, and I hope to see them all soon.
