The misplaced and insufficient nature of a movement suppressed as a mob is not merely a factor influencing the process of provocation; rather, it is what goads it on and, if it arises from a truly genuine idea, fundamentally brings it into being. In such dynamic struggles, the narrower the opposition is in terms of quality, the more limited the depth and the surface area of the ensuing rebellion and resistance. The power gained by the leaders often hinges on a dilemma involving pressure or resistance.

Indeed, standing firmly and solidly against the genius ideas that have managed to flow through history, there has always been another genius, one with an entirely different existence that earned its authenticity by lying on a relatively slippery ground. In instances where such opposition did not exist, history is filled with pages of uninspired ideas, mere derivatives rather than true production, unable to secure a place in history. If there isn’t a counter-idea at least as ‘real’ as itself, that resistance loses its threat and may even rust the rebellion envisioned beyond the initial plan.

Even greater is the reality of the ‘one-man’ idea, standing like a lone pole in the middle of the field with the winds at his back, more so than a reformed group from the anti-party faction (like the Bolshevik leaders). For, as Wilde also said, this man is simple in appearance, yet grand in thought. In this scenario, the complex and sharp nature of the permissions, prohibitions, and theses introduced by such a person is far more dangerous than a disorderly horde of minds, including a few stray thoughts that have deviated from the hierarchical structure and lack direction.

Therefore, the sole measure of climbing that pole and raising the flag of rebellion, without deviating from the fundamental dynamics of resistance, is to shoulder a process unaffected by external influences. To prevent rust formation, it is necessary to sever the contact between our idea in its pure form and the air/water, much like keeping thought away from factors that undermine its solidity. Escaping this with various coatings or by leveraging secrecy is at the discretion of the thinker. For history and society’s greed comes from devouring rebellions.
