May Issue
Karthik: Anu, quick check… emails are not going out from Pega.
Anu: Hmm. Not going out as in failing… or just not showing up?
Karthik: That’s the weird part. No errors. Nothing failed. It’s just… silent.
Anu: Okay, silence usually means something simple is missing. What changed?
Karthik: We created a new email ID, updated the Email Account rule, and triggered the flow.
Anu: Got it. After updating, did you test the connection?
Karthik: I went straight to triggering the email.
Anu: Of course you did.
Karthik: Alright, testing now… Yeah, it failed.
Anu: Good. Now at least it’s telling us something.
Karthik: So where do we look?
Anu: Let’s step back a bit. Are our Pega server IPs whitelisted?
Karthik: I don’t think we checked that.
Anu: Then there’s a good chance the mail server doesn’t even recognize us.
Karthik: You mean it’s not even letting us connect?
Anu: Exactly. No access, no communication.
Karthik: That explains the silence. I’ll get that sorted.
After some time…
Karthik: IPs are whitelisted now. Testing again… Connection successful.
Anu: Nice. Now try sending the email.
Karthik: Triggered… Got it. Email received.
Anu: So?
Karthik: Not a bug.
Anu: No.
Karthik: Just missing access.
Anu: Exactly.
Karthik: I went straight into debugging mode.
Anu: Happens. Next time, just start with the basics.
Karthik: Lesson learned.
Anu: Good. Systems usually aren’t complicated. We just make them that way.
