How the Web Became Filtered Without Anyone Noticing

There are fewer people every day who remember what the internet felt like before: Niche forums full of real answers; personal websites with deep knowledge; obscure blogs with surprising insights; communities built around curiosity instead of SEO and ads; discussions, debates, and technical wisdom created by actual humans.

At some point, something shifted. Search results became more commercial, large platforms took space, and corporations replaced creators.

So We Built Our Own Search Index

For years, people talked about search censorship as if it was unsolvable. But the root cause is structural.

If nearly every search engine is scraping data from the same giant, centralized indexes, then they will all produce the same narrow, filtered worldview. The moment the index filters out a topic, a forum, or a creator, every engine based on that index loses it too.

There is only one real fix:
