A Three-Day Exhibition of Local Products Opens in Badakhshan

A three-day exhibition of domestic products and handicrafts has opened in Faizabad, the capital of Badakhshan province. The event aims to support local producers and strengthen the regional economy.

Walking through the exhibition halls, I saw colorful displays of handwoven carpets, dried fruits, dairy products, and traditional crafts. Local vendors were busy talking to visitors, explaining the quality of their products and sharing stories behind their work.

What impressed me most was the participation of women entrepreneurs. The organizers had set aside 35 special stalls for women to sell their handmade products. One businesswoman, Nazdana Shahrani, expressed her hope that such exhibitions would continue, allowing women to sell both locally and export their goods abroad.

This exhibition is more than just a marketplace. It is a symbol of resilience and self-reliance. When local producers can sell their products in their own region, it reduces the need for imports and creates jobs.
