Part 1: From Lecturing to Peer-to-Peer Facilitation (Build a Model That Scales)

If your programming depends on one “expert” delivering the right answer, you’re stuck in a fragile model. If your programming helps founders learn from each other, you’ve built something that can grow without everything bottlenecking through one voice.

What this shift looks like in practice:

• Replace long presentations with guided discussion, founder hot-seats, and peer feedback loops.
• Train staff and mentors to facilitate with questions like: “What have you tried?” “What’s the constraint?” “Who in the room has solved something similar?”
• Use simple structures: round-robins, breakout triads, and accountability pairs.

Why it moves the needle (especially for underrepresented founders):

• It reduces intimidation and “imposter syndrome” because expertise is shared, not performed.
• It increases retention because founders feel seen, not judged.
• It builds social capital, often the missing ingredient for founders outside traditional networks.
