Marc Spector has escaped his makeshift prison crafted by his arch-enemy Raoul Bushman with the help of his alter egos Steven Grant and Jake Lockley. Besides them came an unlikely ally, as his adversary Zodiac also helped facilitate the escape. But not before he taunted Marc about the whereabouts of his Midnight Mission allies.

An injured Moon Knight stumbles into the residence of Dr. Andrea Sterman, the Mission’s therapist. Despite sustaining severe injuries, they do not stop him from furiously asking where his friends are all Christian Bale style.

“What happened to everyone that’s important to me?”

Dr. Sterman reveals the Midnight Mission were investigating a mystical disturbance in the area, featuring darkened buildings that are only visible to them. They entered for further discovery and have not come out since. She urges Marc not to pursue them in haste.

“You’re wounded, you’re angry and you’re alone. That combination has always been your downfall.”

Moon Knight agrees with Andrea’s assessment, except for the idea that he’s alone. He still one ally left from the Midnight Mission to call upon…
