Hate Speech vs Hypnotic Accusation & Truth — 18 June 2026 — International Day of Countering Hate Speech

In the present day order, lack of mannerism both online and onsite, become a hot topic, that is Hate Speech vs Hypnotic Accusation & unwrapping the truth need to be discovered on 18th June declared as ‘International Day of Countering Hate Speech’.

In 2025 the UN General Assembly decided to mark 18 June as ‘International Day of Countering Hate Speech’.

Theme of the day in 2026 is,

“Hate Speech and Artificial Intelligence”.

Although there is no universal definition for hate speech and that is the reason it is manipulated in many ways, the www.unhcr.org/

defines hate speech as

• Makes reference to an identity factor — Addressing migrants, etc.

• Attacks or uses pejorative or discriminatory language — based on identity of region, language, cult, age, gender, race, ethnicity, culture, etc.

• Any kind of communication, whether in the form of speech, writing or behaviour — This can include images, cartoons, memes, art objects, gestures and symbols. It can be disseminated online or offline.

The truth is, the accusation of Hate Speech is heavily manipulated, misrepresented, misstated, misreported, and garbled.

While the world is aware of racist remark is one form of hate speech, latest two speeches never quoted as ‘Hate Speech’ in India but created storms are

• A Supreme Court Judge called unemployed active youths as ‘Cockroach and parasites’.

• A TV journalist’s comment on private and online tutors as ‘worthless’ or ‘cheap’.

While it created waves of protest in India why no ‘Hate Speech Activists’ even UN delegates are not addressing these particular words as Hate Speech?

On the other hand, exemplary Hate Speeches start from the floors of Parliaments where people’s representatives engage in mud-slinging and use ‘hate speeches’ as weapon.

Who dares to call it Hate Speech?

To unravel the hypnotic attitude towards hate speech and misuse of it, just like any other rules,

In India while some youths are striving to achieve something in their life, battling the rotten system, if they open mouth, it becomes hate speech but it is accepted for the society that ambitious helpless students to commit suicide. At least 14 students resorted to suicide after several exam paper leak incidents in June 2026.

In contrast to these bright youngsters, there are gangs of youngsters and their families have prime focus on hate speech, such as,

calling by names, gas lighting, passing inappropriate comments, etc both online and off line and sheltered by sugar uncles, mothers and aunties who are engaged in hush-hush open marriages and young men who are their supporter gand members.

When these attackers and hate speakers confronted, that becomes ‘Hate Speech’ by so called laws and their stale society.

Thus, a transparent, two-sided survey to hate speech can stop hypnotic propaganda about Hate Speech and the problem can be resolved when the origin of Hate Speech exposed and come under norms of breaching legal and ethical values while spreading chaos and instability in the environment.
