Abdul Sattar Edhi was a well- known social worker, a philanthropic leader and a shining example of humanity, a hope of life. Edhi was a legend devoted his entire life to serve the deprived and marginalized segment of society. Edhi’s feel pain of destitute people, Edhi was an ear to listen everyone pain and he was a shelter those are homeless. Edhi foundation established world leading network of ambulances, along with other services;

· Shelter for homeless

· Orphanage

· Funeral/ Burial Services for unclaimed death bodies

· Providing wheel chairs and crutches to handicap people

· Animal Shelters

· Cradle for un-adopted children

· Maternity services

· National and International Relief Services

All services available across the country and some parts of USA, Africa, Asia and Europe. Edhi foundation has set many examples which cannot be copied by other NGOs and Trusts. Edhi not a name of an organization or a person, it’s a language of love, sympathy and a mission with only one moto to serve the humanity. Edhi foundation provide welfare services without any discrimination of caste, color, race, and religion. Due to these services Abdul Sattar Edhi known as “Mother Teresa of Pakistan”

Why else should he believe you?

As we all know that great Edhi was no more, he was died on 08-Jul-2016. Currently his son Faisal Edhi runs the operations of foundation. At this moment it’s our common responsibility to help Edhi’s foundation by providing every kind of support morally, socially and financially to continue this mission.

A Man’s true wealth is the good, he does in this world

In start I feel hesitant to collect funds owing to it’s my first experience and number of other questions in mind but I used golden circle rule. Everyone knows about Edhi foundation, a very few knows how the foundation operate but fewer are familiar why Edhi take this initiative? I focused on WHY, so everyone is interested and share his/ her contribution for a noble cause.

Helping one person may not change the whole world but it could change the world for one person

During fund raising I faced following challenges;

· Difficult to convincing people

· Maintain high level of motivation

· Time constraint

· Shortest people network

· Hot weather

During whole activity I think great Edhi’s devoted his entire life to serve humanity without a single leave. Why we can’t do it, so I make a promise Insha-Allah every day I will be help someone. Also I must assist other in hardships and difficulties, if someone need help.
