fjord’s echoes — salmon swim against meltwater

The fjord carries its echoes long after sound has left the air, holding each call within its steep, patient walls. Beneath the surface, the salmon press forward against the cold insistence of meltwater. What resists them also shapes them, turning effort into a quiet affirmation of return.
