Near Zero Isn’t Zero; Or: Why We Should Still Be Scared as Shit That the 2024 YR4 Asteroid Is Rushing Towards Us at 38,000 Miles per Hour
Sorry, not sorry, but I’m on a mission to inform, and I’ll never give up

I just read an article from a guy in the middle of a newspaper and social media detox. He’s happy about himself, and good for him, but one thing that shocked me is this:
“Stop reading daily headlines, and you are no longer confronted with fake daily catastrophes.”
How dare he call the impending doom of the 2024 YR4 asteroid hurtling towards us at inhumane speed, coming from the dark, deep space with even darker thoughts, a fake daily catastrophe?!
I’m not writing fake articles about it, and I’m certainly not trying to scare people into reading more of them. Does this guy think my mental health isn’t suffering? He seems like the kind of person who would say I do this for money.
“They’re just fodder for headlines to keep us coming back for more.”
Well, newsflash, random stranger who wrote this, if I don’t write daily about the asteroid, then maybe not everybody will know about the RISKS. Maybe not everybody will prepare for the doom that is, I remind you, coming towards us at 38,000 miles per hour. That’s super fast. We don’t have so much time to get ready.
We need to make our lives count because it’s possible, not likely, but possible that the asteroid will put an end to them when it arrives here at the end of 2032.
That’s less than eight years
We all know how much things can change in eight years. Let’s say you bought bitcoins in January 2017 at $970,40. It would be 80+ times more today. That’s a lot of change. Eight years ago, I didn’t buy bitcoins.
Do you know why? It’s because too many people stayed silent about it. That’s right. Not enough information is shared because information is power, and people are scared to share it.
I’m not scared anymore
And I don’t want people to wake up in eight years and see the asteroid in the sky and think about all the things they could have done during that period of more than 2,400 days. I don’t want them to make with their lives the same mistake I did with bitcoins.
I want people to live their lives to the fullest.
And that’s why I’ll keep writing daily about Asteroid 2024 YR4.
NASA said the asteroid, with something like 200 feet in diameter, has a nearly zero chance of impacting Earth. They said it’s 0.001%.
Well, near zero isn’t zero. IS IT?
Do you know what else was near zero according to 99.999% of financial analysts in 2011? The chance that bitcoins, $0.86 at the time, would ever be above $1,000. And yet, 14 years later, it reached $100,000.
So, thank you very much for all your “reasonable” advice, but I’m getting ready for 2024 YR4, and I’ll keep informing people about it.
I’m on a mission, and I will never quit.
At least not before December 22, 2032, when 2024 YR4 will kill us (at a 0.001% probability) or pass close to us (at a 99.999% probability).
May the odds be in your favor.
