Support for Cordova iOS 7 Series on Monaca

We are thrilled to announce that Monaca now supports Cordova iOS 7 Series.

With this update, we have also upgraded the versions of our enterprise plugins. Now they are compatible with Cordova iOS 7 Series, including the Encrypt Plugin and InAppUpdater Plugin which have been updated to the 7 Series as well.

(For Cordova iOS 6 Series (6.2.0), please continue using the 6 Series version of the Encrypt Plugin and InAppUpdater Plugin.)

How to use Cordova iOS 7

Here’s how you can use Cordova iOS 7:

1. Select Build from the Header Menu: Navigate to the header menu located at the top of the project screen and click on “Build”.

2. Click on Build Environment Settings: Once you’ve moved to the Build screen, click on “Build Environment Settings”.

3. Select iOS 7.0.1: Choose “iOS 7.0.1” from the options.

4. Click on the Save Button: Click the “Save” button located at the bottom of the screen. With this, the setup for Cordova iOS 7 is complete.

Setting up Enterprise Plugin Version

The steps for setting up the enterprise plugin version are as follows:

1. Select Settings from the Header Menu: From the header menu, choose “Settings” → “Manage Cordova Plugins”.

2. Select Enterprise Plugin: In the Manage Cordova Plugins screen, select the enterprise plugin you are using.

3. Setting the Version: Click the “Settings” button on the dialog of the selected enterprise plugin and choose the new plugin version.

4. Save the Settings: After selecting the version, click the “OK” button to save your settings.
