The concerning reality: Research on artificial sweeteners has become increasingly troubling over the past decade.

Aspartame — the most widely used artificial sweetener found in diet sodas and thousands of products was classified as possibly carcinogenic to humans by the World Health Organization in 2023. While the classification does not mean it definitively causes cancer in the amounts typically consumed it represents a significant shift in how health authorities view its long term safety.
