The growing adoption of MLETR highlights the need for trace:original
In a global economy that depends on cross-border transactions, digitalisation has become a necessity, especially looking at the consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic. But, as it turns out, the biggest obstacle seen in the move towards trade digitalisation is creating legally effective digital original documents.
However, it is now possible to solve the challenge with Enigio’s trace:original technology, a Model Law compliant solution to create freely transferrable digital original documents.
Gunnar Collin, Enigio’s Head of Sales and Marketing, has provided an outline of the unique document technology in the GTR (Global Trade Review) Magazine’s latest issue. He presented an overview of the jurisdictions adopting the MLETR and further explained the importance of legally enforceable electronic documents in trade finance.
