TRUSTING GOD IN UNCERTAIN TIMES

Main Idea:

Even when life feels uncertain and God seems silent, He is still in control. His timing is perfect, and His promises never fail. We must trust Him through the waiting, knowing that He is working all things for our good.

Key Points:

• Faith in the waiting deepens our trust in God.
• God’s sovereignty remains constant, even in uncertainty.
• God’s timing is always perfect, even when we don’t understand.
• Fear cannot hold us back when we step into God’s promises.

Faith in the Waiting

Mary and Martha expected Jesus to respond immediately when Lazarus was sick, but He delayed. Sometimes, we pray and seek answers, but heaven seems silent. However, God is still moving behind the scenes. The Israelites experienced delays too, wandering in the wilderness for 40 years. Even in uncertainty, God provided daily.

• What is a time in my life when I saw God’s faithfulness after a season of waiting?

God is in Control

Life is full of uncertainty, but God’s sovereignty never changes. Just as He guided Israel in the wilderness, He is with us in every season. We may not see the full picture, but we can trust in His wisdom, power, and presence.

The Power of God’s Timing

Jesus finally arrived at Lazarus’ tomb, proving that God’s timing was never late. The miracle happened, but Lazarus was still bound — Jesus commanded him to be loosed. Many of us experience breakthroughs but remain bound by fear, doubt, or past struggles. When God moves, we must fully embrace His freedom and step forward in faith.

• Am I holding on to fear or doubt even after receiving an answered prayer?
• How can I fully embrace the freedom that God has given me?
• What steps do I need to take to walk boldly in my faith?

Summary:

Trusting God in uncertainty requires patience, faith, and surrender. Though we may not always understand His timing, He is always working for our good. We must release fear, trust His plan, and walk fully in His promises.

1. Trust God’s Timing — His delays are not denials.
2. Walk in Faith, Not Fear — Step boldly into God’s promises.
3. Let Go and Let God — Stop holding on to fear, doubt, or limitations.

Instructions:

• Write down three areas in your life where you are experiencing uncertainty.
• Find a Bible verse that speaks to God’s faithfulness in each area.
• Pray over these areas daily and write down how God is working in them.

Goal:

To shift our focus from fear to faith by actively recognizing and trusting God’s presence in uncertain seasons.
