How to make Mutton Leg soup:
- Now add 2–3 cups of water into the pressure cooker, along with turmeric powder & close the lid and cook it till 5–6 whistles on a medium-high flame.
- Meanwhile finely chop the onions, slit green chillies, and coriander leaves.
- Grate some fresh coconut and keep it aside.
- Once the cooker is cool down naturally, open the lid and separate the broth and the mutton legs.
How to cook Mutton Leg Soup | Mutton Paya:
- Heat oil in a different cooking pot on a medium flame.
- Add all your whole garam masalas and sauté them until aromatized and add finely chopped onions & slit green chillies and saute them until transparent.
- Now add the pressure cooked mutton legs excluding the broth into the hot pot.
- Saute them for few more mins and add ginger garlic paste along with turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt.
- Saute for more than 5 to 10 mins while stirring them occasionally.
- Now add the Mutton Paya raw broth stir and close the lid and cook it for some more time to get the correct consistency.
- Let’s add coriander powder, dry ginger powder, black pepper powder and grated coconut powder and give it a good stir.
- Taste to check for the seasoning and add if anything required.
- Half close the lid and cook it for some more time to get it to the right consistency.
- Off the flame when you get the right consistency not too thin or not too thick and add freshly chopped coriander.
- Scoop the Mutton Leg Soup | Mutton Paya Into the Soup bowl.
- Serve it hot with Tandoori bread specially made to serve along with Mutton leg soup.
