Beware, If You Are Also Doing These Mistakes! Let’s Correct Them Starting Today!

It’s time to wake up. If not today, then when?

Today, I want to share some thoughts and insights that have been stirring in my mind lately, especially after my recent surgery.

Most of the time, I find myself working while lying down because sitting for long periods is still not comfortable for me. I don’t know why, but, this unique position has allowed my mind to wander and explore various aspects of life more deeply.

I don’t know if you experience something similar, but when I lie down to work, I often become more reflective and thoughtful.

Just yesterday, I had a conversation with one of my clients about the vital role gratitude plays in our lives.

We discussed the necessity of showing gratitude — not just for the big things that rarely happen, but for the countless gifts we already have. I am excited to share the essence of our discussion with you, as it holds significant value for all of us.

These Simple Calculations Will Leave You In Awe

Let’s rewind to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was a period that shook the world, impacting everyone in some way.

Many people found themselves in hospitals, fighting for their lives, often desperately needing oxygen.

#1) Need of oxygen…

Do you know how much oxygen an average person consumes in a day?

According to trusted sources, it’s about 145 gallons, which translates to 550 liters or 0.55 cubic meters per day.

Now, let’s consider the cost of that oxygen.

If we estimate the price of oxygen at around $0.40 per cubic meter, then the daily cost of oxygen for a person amounts to:

0.55×0.40=0.22 dollars (or 19 INR)

During the height of the pandemic, the cost of oxygen cylinders skyrocketed, but let’s simplify and stick with this basic calculation of $0.22 per day for oxygen.

If we consider an average lifespan of 70 years, that gives us:

70×365=25,550 days

Calculating the total cost of oxygen over a lifetime:

25,550×0.22=5,621 dollars (or 472,164 INR)

Who owes this money?

Now, think about it.

Who owes this money? Who would pay for this, and to whom? Where is the doctor, and what hospital would be charging us for this?

Have we ever taken a moment to thank the Universe or God for this FREE gift we all receive?

#2) Need of water…

Now, let’s talk about water, another essential element of life.

An average person consumes about 2.5 liters of water daily. If we consider the cost of water to be around $0.35 per liter, the daily cost of water consumption would be:

2.5×0.35=0.875 dollars

Calculating the lifetime cost of water for someone living 70 years gives us:

70×365×0.875=22,356 dollars

Again, I pose the same question:

Who owes this money? Who would we pay for this water, and to whom? Did we ever thank the Universe or God for this FREE gift everyone receives?

The Story Doesn’t End Here — Don’t Do This Mistake

I’ve only highlighted two essential elements: air and water.

You could expand this calculation to include all the FREE gifts we receive from the Universe daily.

Every single moment, we are receiving invaluable gifts from nature, and many of us don’t even take the time to express our gratitude for them. Is the Universe asking for anything in return?

Is it fair to take all these gifts for granted and not acknowledge them? Aren’t we making a significant mistake by overlooking these precious gifts?

I often encounter people who struggle with the concept of gratitude. They feel they are not rich enough, that they don’t have enough money, or that they lack the comforts of life, so they think there’s nothing for which to be grateful.

Let me share a thought-provoking analysis that might change your perspective.

Many people don’t realize the value of their own bodies. If you consider the cost of human organs and components, you might be surprised.

According to a study published **here**, the approximate values are as follows:

  • Kidneys: $200,000
  • Liver: $157,000
  • Heart: $119,000
  • Corneas: $30,000
  • Bone Marrow: $3,000
  • Eggs: $5,000
  • Coronary Artery: $1,525
  • Small Intestine: $2,519
  • Skull with Teeth: $1,200
  • Spleen: $508
  • Scalp: $600
  • Gallbladder: $1,200
  • Stomach: $500
  • Shoulder: $500
  • Blood: $3,370
  • Hair: Hundreds of dollars
  • Full Body Skin: $31,000

When you add up all these values, the total comes to approximately $557,422 (or 46,823,448 INR).

Now, tell me, are you a poor human being, or are you already a millionaire?

Have you ever thanked God or the Universe for such a valuable FREE gift?

It’s Time To Correct The Mistakes

This is where we often go wrong.

Even with all these gifts, we tend to complain and focus on what we lack. It’s time for us to wake up from this mindset. We need to recognize and appreciate the abundance around us.

Gratitude is not just about recognizing the monumental moments in our lives; it’s about acknowledging the simple, everyday gifts that often go unnoticed.

What Can You Do?

  1. Why not make it a habit? Let’s make it a ritual to express gratitude each day. You can start a gratitude journal, listing down the things you appreciate.
  2. Let’s count your gifts. Take a moment each day to reflect on the gifts you often take for granted — like the air you breathe, the water you drink, and your health.
  3. Not only feel, let’s talk about that too. Talk about what you’re thankful for with friends and family. Sharing your gratitude can inspire others to recognize their blessings too.
  4. Let’s try to learn to give back. When you feel grateful for your health, perhaps volunteer to help others who are less fortunate.
  5. Often, we are so focused on what we want that we forget to appreciate what we already have. Practice mindfulness to stay grounded in the present moment.

My Last Few Words — Let’s Wake Up!

Let us remember that the Universe is abundant, providing us with countless gifts every day.

So, let’s take a step back and appreciate what we have instead of focusing on what we don’t. Whenever you take a breath, drink a glass of water, or simply enjoy the beauty around you, remember to express your gratitude.

Wake up, dear readers!

Let gratitude be a part of your daily life. Make it a ritual, and watch how it transforms your perspective and enriches your experience. The Universe is generous, and it’s time we acknowledged that generosity with an open heart.
