NFT platform ‘Ncop’ holds Web 3.0-based private talks at Khmer capital, Cambodia

NFT art and culture platform NCOP announced on the 4th that it will hold a private-level global conference on cultural preservation using web 3.0-based tools in May at Khmer Capital in Cambodia.

The talks, in collaboration with the SDG Impact Fund and Blue Continent, will look at the technical advantages of Web 3.0 based on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and discuss global cultural unity and reconciliation goals.

The UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end global poverty and protect the planet were adopted by the UN in 2015 with a total of 17 goals and 169 detailed ones to ensure peace and prosperity for all citizens by 2030.

The talks, will focus on technology, climate change, and cultural sustainability. We also expect the collaboration with the SDG Impact Fund, a U.S.-based donor guidance fund with about $11 billion in early team investment. BlueTine, a Hawaii-based digital economic and social development institute will also partake in.

The event will be attended by Brian Dorian, secretary-general of SDG Impact Fund, Full Stack Ventures spokesman, Cambodian Tourism Ministry, Economy and Finance Ministry, and Cambodia Olympic Committee representatives.

“The recorded data has long been recognized as assets,” said Joseph Lee, head of Khmer Capital Group, a Phnom Penh-based investment banking group specialized in Cambodian corporate finance, insurance, trusts and asset management. Extracting its value to preserve the human identity of individuals and groups is an important economic and technical responsibility, he said. “Cambodia has gone beyond the tragic history of genocide, but access to their cultural heritage is still insufficient.”

“It is very rare for technologies such as distributed ledger technology (DLT), artificial intelligence (AI), virtual reality (metaverse), and information and communication technology (ICT) to be used for cultural preservation,” said Ramsey Tam, a renowned U.S. speaker in behavioral economics.
