As I become more me, I trust that the people who are meant to stay, will stay. And those that are meant to go, will vibrate out. (MaryAMHASNAA-VY Besource)
As we all celebrate our little successes in life, we must also take the time to give ourselves grace when we need to because if we don’t do this on a regular basis, we will burn ourselves out trying to do more for others than ourselves.
I trust completely in myself, and this is a valuable tool I have because I learned that the people who are meant to stay in my life will. These individuals are builders in life. They are the ones who want to see me win because they love, respect and support me. It is their job to be brutally honest with you about an action that you have taken that may put you in harm’s way. When your true support system holds you accountable, this shows you that the people on your team care about your overall being.
They will always show up in little ways to most people, but to the builders of life, love, understanding, and let’s not forget kindness and a little touch of empathy it because even if we never admit it too others out loud we have all been in the driver’s seat of loneliness for years and we have become so numb to how self feels that we forget how others may feel.
We have all been in a situation or two in our lives but that did not mean that you could not relearn new mental habits. Learning how to question everything until you get clarity on it is a valuable tool. Your behavior shows your patterns so if you show others that you are a negative talker all the time then that means that you don’t know who you are as a person and you don’t know the power you hold within yourself. Our minds are created to think all the time, but the real question is how you control and manage your thoughts without hurting yourself mentally or physically.
This is where you can take the time to do an emotional check on yourself first before you begin to check others on their behaviors and habits. Sometimes, looking back at yourself first will solve most of the problems that you think are bigger than you are. Most times the time it takes is for you to sit down and ask yourself, is this an emotional response or just an action response? If you have figured out that the situation is an emotional response pause and think about what made you become emotional about the situation in the first place. After you have realized that it was an emotional response, all you have to do is rearrange your thoughts before you do something in action form that you may regret later.
It is normal to want to react to thinks but the world has taught us to absorb all the negative and never teach us how to think more critically before we react. The way you speak and think over yourself is powerful and words do matter so please be kind to yourself first and learn to give yourself grace, patience, and time to process your emotions before you engage with others. This action helps keep your foundation grounded and honest.
So, as I become more me or should I say learning to love the new me in a positive way I will always keep me front and centered because I have learned over the years that you do not need hundreds and thousands of people in your life to know that you are valuable and you are worthy of all the good this life has to offer. Peace is too high of a price tag to just let others come and have an all-access pass without seeing that they have earned it first. I do not trust many people, but I have learned to trust myself first and for me this is a great start.
