After the recent racist insurgence, England takes steps to cease extremist ideologies including misogyny.

The government starts reviewing extremist ideologies with the strategy of “map and monitor extremist trends” -

• Misogyny

• Far-right ‘extremism

• Religious extremism, especially Islamism

On 18 August 2024, Aljazeera shared

“While the riots were primarily instigated by far-right provocateurs, many of these figures have also doubled up in the past and peddled misogyny.”

On the same day, BBC wrote,

“Extreme misogyny will be treated as a form of extremism under new government plans”.

Moreover, schools will include ‘Critical Thinking’ in the syllabus to make students distinguish between real and rumors.

On 10 August 2024, The Guardian shared,

“Critical thinking across multiple subjects will arm children against “putrid conspiracy theories”.

Scotland already enforced the ‘Hate Crime Law’ but some fear that the latest ‘Hate Crime Law’ has more possibilities of being misused.

On 3 April 2024, Sky News published,

“The Hate Crime and Public Order (Scotland) Act came into force on Monday 1 April.

It makes it illegal to “stir up hatred” based on prejudice towards the following characteristics:

• Age

• Disability

• Religion

• Sexual orientation

• Transgender identity
