Fear Of The Unknown: A Kingdom Insight For Eternal Freedom.

Terror befalls many even in life; they groan in pain as they ponder over time and ageing.

Life is measured in time, and the currency that buys life is time. No man has control over time. This implies that no man has control over life.

This revelation will set you free from the fear of the unknown if you follow this teaching.

Let us pray:

Precious Father, we worship your Holy name, we acknowledge your Lordship over all. Thank you for the privilege of life, sight, and a sound mind. Grant us understanding as we study in Jesus’ name, Amen!

Let’s begin. First off:

Every life without Christ is in crisis. A vivid evidence of a life in crisis is the torment from the fear of the unknown, even in luxury.

What is the fear of the unknown?

Mr. Mark was a wealthy man, a South African dealer in gold whose factory was established in the heart of the Country. Had many real estate, cars and connections.

Few years into his fame, luxury and comfort, he had earned from his hard work, he fell sick and was diagnosed with lung cancer.

In his sick bed, he wrote this letter that became the world’s most famous piece of literature. Everyone would love to memorize and have on their heart.

The first paragraph reads:

“Wealth is vain when gained only for a short time. The duration of life is not long enough if we do not live it without death. What is the use of wealth when it cannot go with you on a long journey, conceived through death? What is my fate? What awaits me on the other side?”

Like Mr. Mark, there are so many people crying in this kind of pain and some healthy ones also have these thoughts and fear of losing everything when death comes.

Fear of the unknown is a state that emerges when our consciousness is awakened to the reality of Hebrews 9:27, which says:

And just as each person is destined to die once, and after that comes judgement — (NLT).

The fact that we would someday leave this world has trapped so many souls, leading them to abort their dreams and visions.

We are all destined to die, and it scares so many people. However, here is a different story by a man called Apostle Paul. He had also lived, but not like Mr. Mark. He said in Philippians 1:21,

For to me, living means for Christ and dying is even better (NLT)

What a statement.

One man fears death and weeps helplessly, another says dying is even better. What does Mr. Paul know that Mr. Mark does not know?

The Secret is here in 1 Thessalonians 4:16. It says,

For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.

Those who die in Christ have the hope of resurrection by Faith. This is what makes the difference between Mr. Paul and Mr. Mark.

Paul knew if He died, he would live again. Living in Christ gives us assurance for life after life.

It sets us free from the trap of the fear of the unknown. Paul is not ignorant of his fate after death. He said, “Dying is even better”.

Question:

Which category do you belong to?

Mr. Mark or Mr. Paul.

Conclusion

Here is to your freedom. Seek first the kingdom of God and live righteously, and every other thing shall be added unto you — Matthew 6:33.

The Kingdom of God is the only government that can guarantee double life — you live even after death.

No matter what you have done or who you are, God is more than willing to receive you the way you are.

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest — Matthew 11:28
