DEVIANT: Next Chapter

It’s fascinating how two people can see and experience the exact same thing, but interpret it through entirely different lenses.

That’s the fact of our whole human nature. Since the dawn of time, some have sought scientific explanations for answers while others believe wholeheartedly in the spiritual.

Take creationism for example: Some believe God, an all powerful, omnipresent omnipotent being said “Let there be light”, and there was light. Others understood this phenomena as the Big Bang theory, approximately 13.8 billion years ago, wherein the natural chemistry of gases causes an explosion, which resulted in galaxies, like our own Milky Way, filled with stars, moons, other planets.

Then, what happened? Contrary to popular opinion, Lucifer was the angel of light and brilliance, not music. It wasn’t until America’s racist campaign against jazz music, that brought black and white people together to dance, that the narrative was changed to make Lucifer the Angel of music.

How many of us grew up with that lie? — Told Satan was the Angel of music and saw him depicted with a guitar. How many of us bought into consequential bullshit theories about Black music like rap being inherently violent and evil? Or popular artists like Queen Bey being in a Satanic cult called the Illuminati to succeed? So much of our realities are formed by our own frame of reference and then once accepted, those with power to call themselves victors or valors of those systems we accept dictate their own biased narratives to us. Of course condemning anyone, image, practice or lifestyle that doesn’t fit the objective of more selfish, self-centered gain.

Alas, according to Hebrew faiths (Christianity, Judaism, and Islam) while in heaven, Lucifer (the angel of light and morning brilliance), got too big for his britches — full of himself, full of pride and vanity, he wanted to elevate himself above God and started a rebellion. He convinced 1/3 of the Angels to rebel in a heavenly civil war. In the Bible, which most of the world accepts as truth, Revelations 12:4 describes a dragon sweeping a third of the stars from the sky. Theologians interpret those “stars” as angels who joined Satan, aka Lucifer.

The Ice Age that scientists depict is said to be caused by a meteorite hitting the Earth about 66 million years ago near what is now the Yucatán Peninsula, forming the Chicxulub crater, and killing most of all life here, including dinosaurs and plant life.

The Bible, Quran and Torah describe man as made in God’s image. Genesis tells us that God crafted man from the clay of the Earth and then breathed into him, creating the first human life. Then in a deep sleep God ripped a rib from Adam to create a woman, saying “It is not good for man to be alone.”

Science tells us that the atoms in our bodies were forged inside ancient stars billions of years ago. Carbon in our cells, calcium in our bones, iron in our blood — stellar remnants. Dust and breath are not metaphors alone. They are chemistry. We are made of earth and stars. Interpretation differs. Substance does not.

Scientists believe that human beings as we exist today developed as Homo sapiens — first in Africa approximately 300,000 years ago via the Evolution theory. Dinosaurs, before the ice age were male and female, so scientists don’t accept that humankind would’ve been any other way in their development, as the Bible depicts it. Some theorize that it was the consumption of magic mushrooms over time that caused consciousness, including logic, language and emotional complexity that we possess today.

The Bible explains that consciousness similarly, as the consumption of a “Forbidden Fruit” given to Eve by a serpent, that Christian and Jews thought to be Satan. The fruit was from the one tree God commanded Adam and Eve not to eat from: the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. Sounds like shrooms to me, but eh — depends on how you look at things.

Along the shores of where Pangea split into the continents we know today, ancient people in modern-day Africa and Mexico both worship snakes to this day. Not far from those same sites erected sophisticated pyramids with precision to celestial occurrences like solar and lunar eclipses. Coincidence, or proof of angels’ and demons’ influence on mankind? That’s for you to research and decide. Get your life.

Fast forward through human history and you’ll see a story of what our ancient ancestors in Black and Brown civilizations once worshipped and believed. Gods and goddesses. All across Africa, the Americas, India, Persia, Greece and Italy. Beings are often described as giants having the heads of beasts, bodies of man and wielding specific supernatural abilities. Other beasts sightings spark include vampires, trolls, unicorns, dragons, fairies, mermaids and more. Was it all folklore? How many accounts were taken before so many recorded them as history and believed?

Humankind was not alone in consciousness on this planet, but there’s no semblance of those beasts or deities today… so what happened to them? Where did they all go? Were our ancestors just being extra in their explanations and just seeing things, or is there some relevance, truth and science behind their documented experiences with these beings? Architecture, pyramids, temples, hieroglyphs and folklore all tell of the existence of these supernatural beings.

Polytheism Before Empire

Before Christianity became intertwined with violent European imperial expansion, much of the world practiced polytheistic traditions.

In ancient Egypt (from around 3000 BCE onward), hieroglyphic inscriptions across temple walls depicted deities such as Ra, Isis, Osiris, Anubis, and Horus — forces governing sun, death, rebirth, justice, kingship.

In the Maya world (flourishing particularly between 250–900 CE), deities like Itzamná, Chaac, Ix Chel, and Kukulkán were encoded into pyramids aligned with celestial events.

In the Andean region, the Inca honored Viracocha, Inti, Pachamama, Mama Quilla — creator, sun, earth, moon — interdependent forces shaping daily life. Pyramids in Egypt and Mesoamerica were built independently. Their alignments to solstices, equinoxes, and astronomical cycles reflect deep observational knowledge of the sky. These civilizations were not primitive. They were precise.

Erasure

Beginning in late antiquity and intensifying through the medieval Crusades and later European colonization of Africa and the Americas, Christianity became entangled with empire. Forced conversions, destruction of temples, suppression of languages, burning of codices, and execution of spiritual leaders are well-documented historical realities.

When belief systems are labeled pagan or heretical, they are not debated. They are erased.

Yet erasure is never total. What cannot survive in stone survives in story-telling and memory.

Science has since diminished the ideas of ancient alien sightings and explained their accounts as somewhere between religious explanations of natural phenomena like hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes and tsunamis. Other say it’s very probable sightings of extraterrestrial life forms. However you interpret it is completely subjective.

Believe in the Bible and you might know or not that we aren’t alone here on this planet even now. Revelations 12–13 references beasts to arise from the land and sea, including a great red dragon, a beast with seven heads and 10 horns, a lion with eagle’s wings, a leopard with four heads, and more. There’s also the return of Christ, symbolized by a bright beam of light and horns sounding from the heavens. Scientific and logical thinkers might experience that return as a UFO and the beam of light as potential extraterrestrial abduction. Sound like the rapture? — People ascending into the sky, clear out of their clothes…

Well, before we get into any of that scary prophecy of the future; This story is about what’s happening now, in the interim. What happens when deities… once condemned and forced to be forgotten via colonization, violent crusades and forced enslavement spread monotheistic religion… make contact with their people. A people historically and presently condemned to violence that is real, lived and structural. A people abandoned by the wisdom and protection of gods they once worshiped, when they created civilizations and structures still unexplained by the western world today.

These deites, called Deviants, are opposite of mainstream religion, beliefs and society, have begun making contact via visions and dreams from the ancient realms, they lay dormant in. Out of sight, Out of mind… They have begun returning to the minds of their people once again. Not as good or evil, but as complex, complicated spirit guides.
