Fast is Good. But Do You Know Where You’re Going?

Someone told me: “Don’t waste too much time analysing the requirements. You won’t have time to implement otherwise.” I nodded. Then blinked.

Then thought, “𝘐𝘧 𝘐 𝘥𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘐’𝘮 𝘴𝘶𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘰… 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘦𝘹𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘭𝘺 𝘢𝘮 𝘐 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘰?” I get it. Speed matters. And yes, we don’t always have the luxury of perfect clarity. But diving into implementation without understanding feels like starting a race without knowing the direction. You will run. You might finish. But chances are… you’ll land far from where you were meant to go.

Sometimes, a little upfront thinking saves a lot of rework later. Not overthinking. Just thinking enough…
