These values create undeniable capability.

But environments optimized exclusively for speed often reduce the very continuity coherence depends upon.

Interruption becomes ambient. Availability becomes assumed. Closure becomes incomplete. Recovery becomes self-managed.

The result is subtle but profound.

The organism spends increasing energy generating internally what surrounding conditions no longer support externally.

Conditions Are Not Luxury

This distinction matters.

Environments supporting regulation are sometimes treated as privilege, indulgence, or retreat from reality. But biology frames the issue differently.
