The Mandela Effect Made Me Question Everything

Why do thousands of people remember things that never happened and what does that say about memory, time, and reality? Except… apparently it never existed.

A time-capsule of misremembered childhood details.

A time-capsule of misremembered childhood details.

I remember drawing Pikachu with a black-tipped tail all the time as a child.

Except… apparently it never existed.

That detail has been wiped from history — but not from my brain.

And I’m not the only one.

Why do thousands of people remember something that was never real? How can so many minds create the exact same false memory?

That’s what makes the Mandela Effect so unsettling.

“Mirror mirror on the wall…”

Wrong.

The actual line is “Magic mirror on the wall.”

“Looney Toons?”

Nope. It’s Looney Tunes.

And somehow, the more examples you discover, the stranger it gets.

The more we think we understand about the universe, the more mysterious it becomes.

Sometimes I wonder if our memories are actually false… or if something shifted somewhere in reality itself and we simply have no way of explaining it.

And maybe that sounds absurd.

But isn’t it strange how deeply these things feel real?

Not just remembered — experienced.

Even time itself feels different now.

Remember how days felt back in 2010?

Summer vacations used to feel endless. Afternoons felt slower. Life felt brighter somehow. A single year felt huge.

Now something that feels like it happened yesterday actually happened two years ago.

How?

Did we become busier? Did our perception change? Or does time genuinely feel faster as we grow older?

The universe keeps making me question everything: What I know. What I don’t know. What is true. What only feels true.

And the scariest part is this:

Maybe we are never going to know the answers.

And even if humanity someday finds answers… how would we ever know they are the correct ones?

Maybe that uncertainty is part of being human.

Or maybe reality is far stranger than we think.
