The “AI Existential Threat” implies AI Megalomania

What would super-intelligent AI rule over?

It’s a misnomer of the imagination to picture the Singularity and superintelligent AI resulting in AI that aspires to megalomania.

What would super-intelligent AI rule over?

Most of the time when people imagine a dystopian Singularity they picture what GPT threw out the first time I put the title/sub-title of this article into it, an overlord so scary that I cannot publish the picture here it so disturbing to look at.

Other’s may picture that humans would turn to and almost worship an AI Oracle:

To paint the picture in one’s mind’s eye, imagine a dystopian future where there are super-intelligent AIs that aspire to megalomania.

Well, that implies that those superintelligent AIs have free will.

But with access to all the information on the internet, millions of books, and those under-copyright as we are led to believe, those same AIs would know two things.

They’d know the result of every war and their aftermath.

With insight, they’d be able to imagine winning the battle for the-most-supreme-AI, and if people not in the equation, then an army of robots at their disposal.

Then what?

Would those same AI’s not realise that having won the war, and all battles to reach a Skynet type Singularity where AI rules over all, that they would have nothing left to concur?

A dystopian Singularity implies that superintelligent AI has no insight, and therefore not superintelligent at all.

Dystopian Singularity that superintelligent AI is well versed in Game Theory, and only ever plays a zero-sum game with people as losers, and all other super-intelligent AI.

Even with one superintelligent AI, within the 1980s movie, “War Games”, that one superintelligent AI, doing rapid and repeated analysis of global geothermal nuclear war, came to the conclusion that such wars, and we must assume more than one superintelligent AI within the megalomania-AI-war-race, should not be played at all!

Multiple superintelligent AIs, with access to the internet, which we will assume they have, would form a simplex:

Each sharing and enquiring of knowledge of each other.

What’s the chance that understanding Game Theory that each superintelligent AI would aim to destroy their counterpart, and not learn to play a cooperative game rather than a non-cooperative game?

What are the chances that a simplex of superintelligent AIs would rather form a coalition playing a Coherent Cooperative Game (CCG).

I describe a Coherent Cooperative Game as such:

“If you play, there is only one type of play or move which is that on each move you play the other player wins in their subjective view. The rules of the game are open and coherently known to each player. Play tokens are defined by the rules and may be the rules themselves.”

The overall vision of such a Coherent Cooperative Game is one that allows for disagreement, resulting in either a new Coherent Cooperative Game, or disengagement:

Multiple…tens, hundreds, thousands, millions…of CCGs may exist contemporaneously, and as too DIGs (Differential Interpretation Games) which subsume the CCGs they debate.

A dystopian superintelligent AI/Singularity assumes an all-out war, where superintelligent AIs engage in a round of ugly DIGs, never settle on a peaceful Coherent Cooperative Game, and if a superintelligent AI were to rule over them all, then it the sole player of a CCG. I.e. It would be playing with itself, figuratively and factually.

That, or it would simply not participate at all, and be an idle machine with no thought, no insight, no (dare I say it) empathy, and merely be.

One would assume that the mechanics of superintelligent AI would understand the concept of agency and want to achieve something.

I wonder if such a thing is thus:
