Back in October, I published the following essay:
In April, I wrote this:
Two weeks ago, this:
It’s the type of urgency that gets one labeled an “alarmist”, and we probably know at least one person who thinks there’s profundity in the cliche, “If you’re doing nothing wrong, you have nothing to worry about.”
Last Fourth of July, eight people participated in a protest at the Prairieland ICE detention facility in Alvarado, Texas. They shot off fireworks, vandalized cars, slashed tires, and broke a security camera. Someone shot a police officer from a wooded area when the officer drew his gun.
Last week, a judge sentenced five of the individuals to 50 years in prison; one was sentenced to 70 for supposedly providing material support to terrorists. The suspected leader was given 100 years.
Shooting a police officer and destruction of property should not go unpunished. But that’s not really the issue here. Despite most of the protesters not knowing each other well except through a local book club and gun group, the regime currently pretending to be an executive branch is accusing them all of being in cahoots in an “ANTIFA cell”.

For those unfamiliar with the term, “ANTIFA” is an acronym for “anti-fascist”.
I am anti-fascist. I’m willing to bet you are too. Every veteran who has ever served this country has fought against fascism.
That makes us “ANTIFA”.
ANTIFA has no office. It has no leader. There is no organization called “ANTIFA”.
It’s an idea. An ideology.
It’s also a convenient catch-all with which to lump all those protesting — peacefully or otherwise — into the “domestic terrorist” bucket.
As reported in *The New Republic, “*This case was the first time that federal prosecutors have attempted to convict protesters against the Trump administration on charges related to domestic terrorism. With the White House’s attempt to criminalize protest, it likely will not be the last.”
Then there are 15 people in St. Paul, Minn. federal prosecutors have charged with “conspiring against the federal government” through their protests against the racist regime’s unconstitutional anti-immigration raids and arrests. Most of the nationwide protests, including those in Minnesota, a hotbed of anti-ICE push-back, have been peaceful. Even after the ICE murders of Renee Good and Alex Pretti in Minneapolis, protesters have been non-violent. According to the *Associated Press, *the 15 people in St. Paul “Violently opposed the enforcement of federal law by setting up blockades around government buildings, throwing chunks of ice at federal vehicles and ‘stalking’ agents as they moved through Minneapolis.”
Take a guess what the next accusation is.
Minnesota U.S. Attorney Daniel N. Rosen accused the activists of being part of two “ANTIFA” groups.
Defense attorney Kevin Riach argued so-called ANTIFA is “a boogeyman invented by the far-right”, and his client, Isaac Sant, had no affiliation it, whatever the right purports it to be. He explained, “The purpose is to intimidate people who came out to observe and protest ICE’s numerous violations of the law. It’s an affront to the First Amendment.”
And the Reflecting Pool we’ve come to revere that has just become another hideous metaphor for the failed administration?
Anyone caught near it should be ready to be labeled a “radical left lunatic vandal”, as former Olympic cyclist David Hearn found out when he had the temerity to touch the pool’s detached liner.
Hearn explained:
I reached in there, and I was able to grab the end of that flapping piece, the already peeling piece. It was still attached to the bottom. I didn’t remove anything. I didn’t vandalize anything. I didn’t destroy or break or peel anything. By the time I realized what was going on, I was being put in handcuffs.
The conspiracy theories swirling around the Reflecting Pool’s taxpayer-funded $14 million boondoggle would be risible if they weren’t coming from the White House and right-wing hate media. They range from vandals the convicted felon playing president claiming “took some form of knife or blade, and put a 250 foot long gash into the beautiful facade” to fear-mongering hate headlines like “Anti-American socialist zealots have now managed to get the attention of the American people through, of all things, by damaging the iconic reflecting pool”.
After far-right firebrand Charlie Kirk was assassinated last year, Maria Ruhtenberg, a public defender for the state of Iowa, posted on her Facebook page, visible only to friends: “Live by the sword, die by the sword”, “You reap what you sow”, and “Whoever shot [Kirk] should go to prison.”
One of those so-called “friends” complained to her employer, and Ruhtenberg was fired after a right-wing outlet emailed Ruhtenberg’s employer to ask for a comment.
Iowa public defender Jeff Wright argued during appeals proceedings that Ruhtenberg was fired because her posts condone violence, leading to Ruhtenberg suing the state and Wright in federal court for a First Amendment violation. Ruhtenberg was awarded $125,000 in damages when the case settled in May.
On September 15 — five days after Kirk’s murder — Vice President “Shady” Vance hosted a podcast episode of The Charlie Kirk Show in which Vance pronounced that while political unity is possible, it will come only after there is a crack down on the “radical left lunatics”. Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller claimed he intended to use the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Department of Homeland Security (HHS) to hunt down networks responsible for “provoking violence”.
What was the punishment for the actual domestic terrorists who beat up cops for a lie on the Capitol steps on January 6, 2021 to keep the former host of Celebrity Apprentice in office?
President Biden’s DOJ prosecuted nearly 1,600 of them.
The tax cheat currently fouling up the Oval Office pardoned most of them and commuted the sentences of 14 members of the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers.
The adjudicated sexual assaulter and best friend of Jeffrey Epstein promised he was going to go after his political rivals if re-elected. Kamala Harris warned us of it.
Anyone who speaks out, or, worse, is even suspected of disagreeing in any way with this failed criminal griftopia must be ready to be maligned as a “ANTIFA”.
As with the Reflecting Pool, it would be laughable if not coming from the White House and its complicit Department of (In)Justice.
We dismiss this at our own peril.
But, whatever we do, we MUST NOT SURRENDER TO THE THREATS.
Once that happens, the regime wins, and good luck with the next strongman.
