Should I feel proud of it or not?

There’s a part of me that glows in the dark. It’s rather beautiful, actually– a faint pulsating blue glow.

No one else notices it — well, I actually take pains to conceal it, especially from my wife. I know what she’s like. She would decide immediately that it’s unnatural and want me to have it surgically removed, so at night I pull a sock over it.

Yes, the big toe on my right foot is a beacon. I believe I was destined to be an angel but was sent down to earth unfinished.
