How Learning the Access Bars Technique Changed My Client and Myself

It was May 2016. I took a 1-day Access Bars class, as my Deeksha teacher at the time was talking highly about it, and I just loved anything she thought. She just had that energy, you knew something would change in your life when taking a class from her.

Off I went to this Access Consciousness class. I loved it, but I wasn’t really sure about The Bars (a bit of a weird name :)). At the end of class I was feeling weird and had a massive headache. I asked her if that was normal after the class, and she said, “Ask: who does it belong to?” I thought to myself, of course it belongs to me, what a crazy question. Little did I know this is one of the most powerful tools one can use.

Fast forward two weeks later, I travelled to Pakistan to take care of a client for three weeks. I brought my Access Bars manual and thought, even if it’s weird, I’ll practice, since I’d invested in the workshop, plus I knew there was something about it calling me to be present with.

One of my clients was an older lady, late 60s. She had a sad demeanor, couldn’t walk with ease, and was very serious. Lovely, but serious. I started massaging her every day, and after a while I asked if, at the end of the massage session, I could massage her head (I could tell she was fine with receiving and wouldn’t need me to explain The Bars).

After maybe three sessions, I could see she was smiling more, walking better and with ease, and was more joyful. I was also more relaxed, more myself. That’s where I could see the “weird” technique was creating change not only in my client receiving, but in me, gifting.

It showed me that when I didn’t give up on the weird, the inexplicable, or on trying to control something that cannot be controlled, and just used it, it created change, and it was so visible and so magical.

At the end of my massage tour with this client, she was different. She was happier, she was moving better, and she was so grateful for what I’d offered. With that, she gifted me $3,000 and a beautiful scarf.

More than the money and the gift, what I received was her deep knowledge of being more of herself, a happier person in a happier body.

After all the change I saw with The Bars, I made a commitment to know more about the wonderful, weird creator of it. After a while I did two more classes and became an Access Bars Facilitator, and now I get to teach what I see as one of the most powerful well-being techniques available.

Have you received an Access Bars session? There are practitioners and facilitators all over the world. Have a try, and if you’re in Dublin, I have a class coming up on the 18th of July.

Come. Choose. Receive. Change.
