Carried by the Wind

Carried by the wind, seemingly drifting without aim. Not to the high windows. Not to the wide paths. It turns off, lowers itself silently, almost tenderly, onto the very shoulder that once thought: now everything is over. There it rests, a red foreign object on the coat of despair. It only whispers softly, with the voice of a tree: I am the piece of sky, torn away to be with you, in this very moment.
