Where to Store Liquor Inventory

Retail liquor licensees can register an off-site warehouse facility where they plan to receive delivery of wine and/or spirits. Nonretail licensees can store inventory at a Winery Warehouse, Bonded Winery Warehouse, or Bonded Spirits Warehouse licensed location. There are currently no allowances to warehouse beer.
A warehouse may store wine and/or spirits on behalf of manufacturers, other bonded warehouses, or for a COA (Certificate of Approval) holder. Warehouses can also be shared by multiple licensees.
Each license type is different, so it’s important to look at the requirements for each one:
- Winery Warehouse **RCW 66.24.170, [WAC 314–24](https://app.leg.wa.gov/wac/default.aspx?cite=314-24)**
- Bonded Spirits Warehouse **RCW 66.24.695, [WAC 314–28–220](https://app.leg.wa.gov/wac/default.aspx?cite=314-28-220)**
- Bonded Wine Warehouse **RCW 66.24.185, [WAC 314–24–220](https://app.leg.wa.gov/wac/default.aspx?cite=314-24-220)**
You can request warehouse registration on the **LCB Portal. See our [Quick Actions User Guide](https://lcb.wa.gov/sites/default/files/2025-04/Quick%20Actions%20User%20Guide.pdf)** for more information.
