Yeah right, Geoff. I don’t believe a word you say. You have never backed up that “I was wrong” stance with any political action, now, then, or even right now.

And you showing up at a place called “Cathedral of Amazing Grace” is supposed to convince me you’ve changed your anti-healing stance, how?

When a man had the gall to tell me I should believe and trust him because, he said “I’m a Christian,” I rightfully answered as a Woman of God and ordained licensed minister who holds a Doctorate of Divinity should:

“Christians can be some of the biggest liars and cheats on the planet, too. I’ve seen it for myself.”

Well … Stacey Abrams was right all along.

Geoff Duncan entered politics in 2010, and he was then part of a Georgia GOP environment that broadly opposed Medicaid expansion. Had opposed it from the beginning even before Duncan ran for any political office.

Republican leadership in Georgia consistently rejected expansion as too costly or tied to the ACA, otherwise known as “Obamacare”, those of you who actually kept up over the past 16-18 years.

Duncan’s early political alignment placed him within a Republican bloc that opposed it all from Day One. He operated within an anti-expansion policy environment, along with Governor Brian Kemp.

We already knew you were wrong when you aligned with opposing taking care of the “least of these” and alleged yourself to be a righteous man of God at the same time.

NOW, you show up at a church that preaches about “Jesus’ Free Healthcare & Healing Plan Expansion for All.” (No, that’s not in the Bible. I said it like that. But, you can read what the Lord and Savior thought about charging people for healing/healthcare. He had miracles in His own two hands and his SPITTLE, didn’t need medical equipment, and still didn’t charge them a dime.)

‘Change of Heart’ Politics

So why are you ‘was wrong’ now, all of a sudden?

Ladies and Gentlemen, if he/Duncan were going to do that with Healthcare Expansion, wouldn’t he have done it by now? And done more to make sure it came to fruition, even as a Republican?

Stacey Abrams’ has the HISTORY and proof of her endeavors. Duncan does not. Changing parties doesn’t change history.

Is he aware that more than 120 years ago, A REPUBLICAN STARTED ALL OF THIS UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE noise in the first place? #TheodoreTeddyRoosevelt

Is he/Duncan aware of why the GOP called Roosevelt a “bullmoose” at the time, and railed against his ideology of making sure “all Americans” were covered during a time when Black people weren’t even counted among the sheeps they called “Americans”?

If they had approved when RooseveltTeddy was in office, Black people would not have been invited to the table they prepared for everyone else.

Before you believe a “party changeover Republican,” ESPECIALLY ONE THAT CALLS HIMSELF A CHRISTIAN BUT DIDN’T ACT LIKE IT WHEN IT WAS EXPEDIENT FOR HIM TO DO SO … CHECK HIS (or HER) POCKETS!

What is this change-of-heart Republican’s active history and current actions with the matters at hand regarding their less moneyed constituency?

The money has been here in Georgia since Obama sent it back between 2010–2012, and Kemp decided he’d rather put the money into a new football STADIUM in Atlanta than in resolving healthcare financial issues among his own citizenry. This government was SUED by the Obama Administration AND by the Biden Administration for not using the funds for the reasons they sent it.

If Kemp has any slush funds in Georgia, its likely (I am guessing because I’m trying to figure out where Kemp got a “big pot of money” all of a sudden), then my guess is that he invested it in Sutton Bank, which he has economic ownership interests in, and let THOSE MILLIONS COLLECT INTEREST while people who needed help languished.

Duncan served under Brian Kemp as Lieutenant Governor (2019–2023), even as the State of Georgia continued to reject full Medicaid expansion. He did not emerge as a leading advocate for full expansion during his time in office.

And there was no major break from opposition to Medicaid expansion.

After-Office Shift to a DINO (2023–Present)

After leaving office and intentionally distancing himself from the Republican Party, Duncan became publicly critical of GOP orthodoxy and signaled openness to policies like Medicaid expansion as part of broader healthcare access discussions.

His posture seems to reflect less ideological resistance and a more pragmatic/coverage-focused thinking over to the side of what Stacey Abrams said in the first place.

Is it easier to take away what was then a solid throughline stance from a Black woman when it comes from a white man who suddenly “changed his mind”? Did he change because he saw for himself that it was MOSTLY white people in rural Georgia who were hurting and doing without?

We’ve said this from the beginning: most people on welfare in America have always been white. That’s not new. What’s new is people pretending not to know it.

The idea of Black people getting “free stuff” at white people’s expense was never a fact — it was about shifting the narrative to blame our ancestors for coming off plantations with nothing.

And whose fault was that?

Long before modern welfare programs, systems were already in place that extracted Black labor without pay. And when that became illegal, the extraction didn’t stop. It adapted.

Black workers were paid little, taxed on that little, and subsequently fed into a system that redistributed resources from them to white people who already had not earned anything from us, not even a hot meal — while the story being told pointed right back to whites as the tax burden after losing their only jobs as OVERSEERS. That’s all they knew how to do, and they had to be retrained for an industry in which a Black man had designed a “cotton gin” that industrialized cotton seeding and production.

So when people repeat that line about Black people and “welfare,” and “free stuff” and “get a job!” ask them why they’re not hiring.

They’re not repeating truth. They’re repeating a narrative that was built to misalign and redirect — one that protects the structure by accusing the people it exploits.

Positions can evolve inside the system, where there is alignment with dominant policy, and outside the system, where there is more freedom to reassess a political motive.

So what is the truth about the change of heart, Duncan, which you planned ahead of time to keep it from looking so “obviously different” overnight?

If you’re going to sneak up on people from behind, do it early in the game, Geoff, so that those who are righteously deluded don’t mistake you for the typical “last minute party-changer”, or DINO (‘Democrat In Name Only’).

Not even when it comes from an evangelical association with some “faith-based” religious society that looks outwardly innocent, but also attaches sacrilegious meanings and usage to scripture about healing and feeding the poor and taking care of the sick and widowed and the elderly and feeble, while also head-branding the politico-religious pick-up scenery with a hand full of “Christian” Black women at Amazing Grace church to stage it.

Who was really at that staged church play act?

The same Black women who would be entirely rejected for their gender and race ALONE if they were running for Governor, just as Abrams was.

How to Get to the Bottom of Geoff Duncan as Wannabe Governor of Georgia

The Hotseat Edition

Ask him what he thinks of gun control and Black-on-Black crime?1 What he honestly thinks of mothers of color on welfare as opposed to all others of the majority of welfare recipients?2 And how he plans to deal with Donald Trump’s “purge” of Black History while using “DEI” as leverage to do it4, and how he will handle Trump’s personal and unsanctioned renaming of Fort Moore back to white supremacist Fort Henry Benning, Georgia5?

The answers to those five questions should tell you all you need to know about Geoff Duncan and whether or not the “Amazing Grace” church promo was or wasn’t a setup, or a Christianista political ruse of some kind.

It’s easy enough.

Kind of like asking George Zimmerman what Jesus really thought of Trayvon Martin at the time of his lynching, and asking Brian Kemp what happened to the other 300,000-plus votes that didn’t get counted when Stacey Abrams ran against him…and how he intends to answer to God for it.

They didn’t need the story about Black people and welfare [i.e., “free stuff”] to be true — just repeated. Not because it explained anything, but because it redirected everything from blaming themselves to blaming Black people, for what Black people had ZERO control over.

Away from the structure. Away from the flow of money. Away from who actually benefits. And as long as that misdirection holds, the same system keeps doing what it has always done — extracting quietly, redistributing selectively, and leaving the blame exactly where it was.

But we aren’t supposed to be mixing politics with religion now, are we? …unless it suits you…
