Being a working mom isn’t easy. But, a working mom is better than a bitter mom. At the same time, we have to figure out what’s going on inside that tiny but huge mind and how to keep them happy. Here’s a short poetry that’s all about figuring out motherhood, one step at a time.
My little son is back home,
But I am busy-
Kneading the dough, sweeping the floor
And eyeing everything in the house
To check if anything needs my hand.
I assumed my son might not notice,
So I went about with my chores.
Then I noticed his smile that wasn't there,
His usual chirpy self was sullen
And it broke my heart.
And I promised to myself
That I will start over tomorrow
With a better schedule,
One with my son in it.
He could help me with the dishes - he loves it.
He could help me with the floor - he does clear up .1% of the mess.
He shakes his tiny baby bum to the rhythm of the broom,
And gives me a peck on the cheek when he's done.
A happy mom and a happier kid,
That's what we want. 메타데이터
