Pastor Odesola Awarded With Honorary Professorship By QAHE, AUBSS

A Continental Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Johnson Funso Odesola has been conferred an Honorary Professorship in Legal Studies by the International Association for Quality Assurance in Pre-Tertiary and Higher Education (QAHE), in partnership with the American University of Business and Social Sciences (AUBSS).

The recognition highlights Pastor Odesola’s outstanding contributions to education, leadership, and community service. A highly accomplished academic, he holds six PhDs, two master’s degrees, and several bachelor’s degrees across fields such as Civil Engineering, Intercultural Studies, Human Rights, and Commercial Law. He recently obtained a Ph.D. in Human Rights Law from the University of Africa, Lusaka.

Currently serving as Continental Overseer of RCCG’s Continent 3 — covering South-West Nigeria and several Middle Eastern countries — Pastor Odesola has spent over four decades in ministry, pioneering numerous mission-driven projects across Nigeria and beyond.

Also a prolific author, he has written over 100 published works, many addressing social development, leadership, and personal growth. His impact extends to the film industry, where he has produced several faith-based movies.

In 2021, he was honoured as South-West Patron of the Nigeria Police Force’s Police Community Relations Committee, and in 2024, appointed Assistant Commissioner of Police (P.S.U.).

QAHE and AUBSS described the honorary professorship as a tribute to Pastor Odesola’s lifelong dedication to education, faith, and societal transformation.

The award marks a significant milestone in his distinguished career and reaffirms his influence in both academic and religious spheres.
