RZA Suggests Drake’s Approach Was Foolish In Kendrick Lamar Beef

RZA recently shared his thoughts on Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s rap rivalry, suggesting that Drake made a mistake in trying to compete with Kendrick lyrically. In an interview with Complex, the Wu-Tang Clan legend explained the difference **وان ایکس بت** between the two rappers. According to RZA, Kendrick is a “natural lyricist,” whereas Drake is a “trained lyricist.” He compared it to fighters, saying that while you can train someone to be good, there are those with natural talent who, when trained, become exceptional.

RZA noted that while Drake has endless bars, Kendrick’s lyrics carried more weight and potency, making it a challenging battle for Drake. He mentioned that Kendrick’s ability to break down complex emotions and themes, like in his letters to his family, set him apart. He also likened Kendrick’s style to other lyricists such as Nas, Eminem, and Raekwon, who can deconstruct their subject matter to its core.

Despite this, RZA acknowledged Drake’s immense contribution to the culture, noting that he expanded Hip Hop with his melodies and raised a new generation of fans. He expressed hope that Drake and Kendrick could eventually reconcile, much like Nas and JAY-Z did after their feud, and view their battle as a significant, fun moment in Hip Hop history.

50 Cent also weighed in on the rivalry, offering a different perspective. In an interview with Billboard, 50 Cent said that he didn’t believe Drake lost the battle, despite public opinion. He recalled telling Drake that the criticism didn’t mean he was defeated, pointing out that Drake’s massive success, including earning $300 million from his last tour, showed he hadn’t truly lost anything.

50 advised Drake to stay focused on creating new music, which Drake did, releasing a series of solo tracks and guest features. He even has a joint album with PARTYNEXTDOOR on the way. 50 Cent emphasized that the feud ultimately pushed both artists to create high-quality material quickly, which benefitted Hip Hop as a whole.

Addressing those who assumed he would side with Kendrick due to his association with Dr. Dre, 50 Cent made it clear that he didn’t think Drake’s contributions were “wack” at any point. He attributed the backlash against Drake to the system trying to create resistance, but insisted that Drake’s consistency remained strong throughout the rivalry.
