Introducing the Classroom

Advanced analytics and settings, user roles and permissions, and a new feature called Challenges.

For the last six months, the Prepd Team has been hard at work building a brand new application. Today, we are retiring the Dashboard and launching the Classroom — a new app that will help your debate team organize itself on Prepd.

The Classroom improves all the features that were supported by the Dashboard, and it introduces some new features, too.

Advanced Analytics

Prepd analytics have been completely revamped. The Classroom provides visualizations for all sorts of educational activities: article filing, article reading, memories saved, words memorized, practice questions submitted, arguments and speeches uploaded, etc.

User Roles and Permissions

User roles allow you to set special permissions for “Captain,” “Varsity,” and “Novice” debaters. Check out this blog post to learn more about the different roles and their corresponding permissions.

Challenges

The Classroom allows Coaches to create educational assignments, or “Challenges.” Identify students, establish a deadline, and specify tasks. Students have clear guidance on what they need to accomplish. Coaches enjoy total visibility as their students complete their challenges.
