Classical IoT models

In class, we learned about Internet of things which is interesting subject that we can think on. It is all about gathering, sharing, and analyzing data either over the cloud or in local systems for better, determinant decision-making. Older IoT architectures such as the oneM2M and the IoT World Forum Reference Model pioneered this issue by concentrating on building scalable and interoperable systems. For instance, oneM2M architecture works as a middle layer to connect devices and applications with the help of RESTful APIs. It comprises three main parts: Application Layer — which runs service logic; Service Layer — which manages functions like security, device registration; and Network Layer — which guarantees the communication among devices. IoT today is evolving and moving into the potential of new technologies such as edge computing, AI, and greatly improved interoperability provisions. These are taking IoT solutions to a greater capacity in terms of smart cities, smart health, and smart industries, thus creating a very connected and intelligent world.
