In this video (above), you can see a top general stuttering in his responses while a Senator is asking sharp questions. A General!

And...

The POTUS, in a video widely viewed on the YouTube, openly states that he likes to be surrounded by ‘losers’.

That is his choice. His decision. His liking for losers. And his dsilike for winners.

How beneficial is that thought for the entire global community?

But where does such a thought stem from!

Indecision...poor decision... incapacity... inability! Don’t know!

I find myself rather insignificant to comment upon. After all, being the Most Powerful Man on the Planet seeks something extraordinary in those (wo)men who go on to occupy that chair.

They must be having that in them.

At least they are expected to have it in them.

Any leader. Anywhere...

Nothing else! Nothing less! And I am not taking anything away from anyone!

There, it seems, are already numerous questions hanging all around. The answers to which no one can stop anyone from seeking. That besides, let us see a few glaring gaps in that basic premise of ‘having losers hanging about you’.

Does that imply that the Team of the selected executives mostly comprises of losers!

Does it also imply that those selected to advise... are mostly losers!

Does that imply that the advice they provide is from the mentality of a loser!

By the way.….

Those advisers at the highest echelons are expected to be a blend of wisdom, tested experience & gravitas for the requisite levels of decision making. And not those whose maturity has not been forged at the anvil of experience and who have not been tempered adequately through heat of desired responsibility.

Does that also mean that whatever progress is made is from that stand point.

Does that also imply that the allies and foes alike, can no longer trust the environment!

Does that imply that a great nation in a space of four years might witness a downfall it may not have not bargained for.

Gods alone knoweth the answers to these and many many other question. Because I am a rank outsider and can only think in a limited manner. Ask those who made that choice.

What must they be thinking!

And now...

Now that the world is at the edge of an abyss… Is that mindset going to lead them to some kind of a catastrophe!

Only time will tell... as the future unfolds.

But... the portants are quite tellingly unpalatable!

Leon Panetta must be holding his head in ennui having stated what he had...something I have mentioned at the outset, as to why he did!
