Mahindra XEV9E Hybrid with 1000km Range, AWD

After the strong success of its electric SUVs, Mahindra is now ready to enter into the strong hybrid technology through the XEV9E Hybrid. This model is likely to launch in 2028, this SUV expected to use a 1.5-litre petrol engine as a range extender while the electric motor powers the wheels. With an expected price range ₹23 lakh to ₹35 lakh model will carry features like AWD setup, Level-2+ ADAS, panoramic roof, triple-screen dashboard, and high driving range.

In 2025 reports claiming that the Mahindra is working on range-extender technology for future SUVs is out. And after few months, the Mahindra XEV9E Hybrid becomes talk of the Town. Now some confirm sources reports are saying that development work is underway with a possible market arrival in 2028. Sources are also claiming that it may come with output 220–280 bhp and 380 Nm torque that offers quick acceleration and smooth performance. And the complete hybrid setup will likely to give 20–25 km/l efficiency offering 150 to 200 km of pure electric driving and achieve an overall range of more than 800 to 1,000 km. With an expected top speed of 160–180 km/h and a possible AWD system, the XEV9E Hybrid aims to combine electric performance with long-distance practicality.
