Baruch College Offers Winter and Summer Trips to Israel

New York Rabbi Shlomo Ettlinger owns the financial planning company The Planalyst, Inc., and serves as the chief financial officer for Liftco, Inc. A graduate of Baruch College with a degree in accounting, Shlomo Ettlinger maintains active membership with Hillel: The Foundation for Jewish Campus Life, which gives students a chance to celebrate their Jewish identity and hosts trips to Israel every winter and summer break.

Students will travel to Israel and immerse themselves in the country’s 3,000-year history while exploring its wealth of colorful cultural traditions. Designed for active engagement, activities will keep students on the move and provide hands-on experiences for discovering Israel’s past, present, and future. The trip also makes stops at many must-see locations and enables students to form cross-cultural friendships.

Baruch College trips are offered through Israel Outdoors with support from OU Free Spirit and CUNY Birthright. Each trip includes a 10-day journey, and packages are available through three age groups: 18–22, 22–26, and 24–26. Students will visit locations such as ancient and modern Jerusalem, and items of the itinerary range from archeological tunnel explorations and rafting down the Jordan River to camel and desert treks.
