What is PgMP?

The Program Management Professional (PgMP) is an expert certification created by PMI. It is a specialized training for Program Management Professionals to develop and enhance their ability to handle multiple complex programs.

Eligibility

PgMP Certification Process

As PgMP is an advanced certification, the eligibility, application process, and examination are a bit trickier than the other PMI certificates. To become a program manager professional, the process mentioned below is to be followed:

Get the training

Before applying for the PgMP certification, you need to undergo mandatory 21 hours of training. In the training, you will get to learn various domains, techniques, and processes for passing the exam, which includes multiple real-life situation-based questions. Submit Your Application

As explained in the eligibility section above, the candidates are required to gather 4 years of project management experience or a minimum of 4 to 8 years of program management experience.

Give the PgMP Exam

After the previous steps, the final one is to give the exam and ace it! PgMP is a center-based test, meaning that you will be proctored for the examination. The exam includes 170 multiple-choice questions and will be 240 minutes long. There will be a 15-minute tutorial before the exam and a 15-minute survey post. Making the exam a total of 270 minutes.
