I believe earning a high income makes me wealthier, but I often overlook my debt, spending habits, and financial goals.

But the reasons are the same, as others are dealing with, like:

• Lack of a Financial Plan
• Depending on a single source of income
• Delaying investing
• Always trying to look wealthy rather than actually building wealth.
• Lifestyle inflation

I never try to understand that there is a huge difference between earning money and building wealth.

So I start with these simple steps:

• Start increasing my savings and focus on investing more.
• Set goals for retirement, an emergency fund or any other major life milestones.
• Try to build multiple sources of income through freelancing or a side business.
• Pay my high-interest debt first and avoid unnecessary borrowing.

A high income can improve your financial situation, but it doesn’t guarantee financial freedom.
