Marlo was hiking up the steep green mountain of his stats. It was fucking STEEP. But as an old writing professor used to crow on about —

Show, don’t tell.

So, without further ado:

Marlo was flatlining until he wasn’t. Look at those steep jagged mountains!

Marlo liked his green mountains to rise. And rise they did.

But how about Marlo’s earnings (I hear you asking), did they rise too?

In the spirit of showing and not telling —

If you flip this list upside down, you will see a significant RISING.

These were the kind of stats that could inject HOPE in Marlo’s veins and put him back on track to chase his dream of sustainably writing for money.

You too, reader, can make 41 cents for aggressive-passive truth bombs.

You too, reader, can make a full dollar by publicly owning the embarrassing fact that your pops was right to tell you to stay the hell away from writing.

These were the kind of better human tales that made the world a better place. And Marlo was all about making the world a better place.
