Hey, Y’all!

At Middle-Pause, engagement is the heartbeat of our publication. Our mission is to encourage, inspire, and empower women navigating the middle seasons of life — especially those facing hardship, loss, uncertainty, and pain.

When we courageously share our stories, we remind other women they are not alone. Our words can offer hope, spark healing, and empower someone to reach down, find the strength within herself, and take the next step forward.

However, I’ve noticed that our views and comments are way down. When I started MP, I made a commitment to read, clap, and comment on every story we publish. Even if it takes a few days, I strive to remain committed to that goal.

So my question to you is — Can we support our sisters who take the time to bless us with their stories?

Because we need each other.

Also, please keep me and my family in your prayers. My oldest grandson, Andre, was killed in a hit-and-run accident. When I’m able to process everything, I’ll write my story.

And maybe another sister will be strengthened.

Sandra Culver-Evans s a sensitive introvert living in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. She is the mother of an autistic daughter and the daughter of an autistic mother. She writes about gardening, caregiving, adventuring and being in the middle. She is married to her second husband. Together they have nine grandchildren.

One more thing, I came to Medium for a place to put my genealogy stories. It is important to me, as the family historian, to preserve our family history. My family has always been the focus of my life. I pull up the past generations and link them to now. Being in the middle is where I live and thrive.
