I’m sick I can’t write today

If you want motivation to write when you’re sick, read this.

You’re sick, so you can rest, right? No! Yes, you heard right a big NO! My body is tired; my legs are hurting, my head is pounding, my hands are shivering, my fingers are struggling to type but still, I’m typing. Why?

Because of the fear of regret. I could shut down my phone and sleep, but I didn’t.

I’m tired; my body is tired, but my consciousness keeps telling me to write, to post something. But why? I don’t want to become my older self who gives up easily. I’m an adult now, not a teenager who skips classes just because she’s tired.

Tiredness is a myth that your body often uses to make you stop doing something uncomfortable.

Since childhood, we hear stories telling us to sleep when something is uncomfortable, sick, or exhausting. But once we wake up, it rarely gets better it often worsens, bringing double the pain and stress.

We can rest sometimes, but nobody knows our body will create this pattern. (Okay, she’s resting if we’re tired, she will not drain our energy ) That’s when laziness kicks in.

Skipping, procrastinating, and making excuses aren’t funny; they stem from unresolved rejection and fear.

You can say it’s just a fever why are you elaborating? Just go to sleep. Fever, cold, headache, stomachache these often start from external factors like climate change, junk food, screen time, stress, allergies, and more.

But how long they last depends on our internal responses. The more comfortable the body feels, the longer ailments linger when you’re uncomfortable. But if you live normally waking up, eating, exercising, working, resting (some rest), taking medications, getting back home, eating, writing, or even dancing, singing, or playing. The body gradually recovers. It’s a process of reminding your body that you are okay; living sometimes feels like dying.

Only you can choose to live or die. And you can still write, just like I did. I didn’t die right Lol!.
