Of the vast opinions expressed when talking about the notion of what the king’s birthday really means to modern day Australia and the ongoing debate over the best form of government to adequately represent Australia the discussion could extend well into the future.

If things are to change somewhere in the future it seems a lot more political debate and good will on both sides of the house of parliament would need to happen. It appears too many referendums have failed because the nature of politics and unforeseen issues to the initial proposition to be put to the australian people .

A bipartisan approach with well thought out arguements to produce viable solutions to take australia into the next millenium would have to be sought as worthwhile outcome

To have varied opinions within this multicultural society of ours and to have tolerance to accept an alternative view point hopefully has evolved into the australian ‘psyche’, where laid back attitudes are first and foremost when dealing with problems compared to overseas where accessable violence in this complex world seems the norm .

It seems the opinions about god, king and country wilI be with us for some considerable time to come and the political consequences yet to be resolved.
